Now for the important part - can they think dialectically?
Can they view issues from multiple perspectives and arrive at the most economical and reasonable reconciliation of seemingly contradictory information?
Are they capable of thinking from multiple perspectives and reconciling streams of information that seem to flow in different directions?
Are they capable of changing their opinion?
Rigid thinkers are less useful at any level of intelligence are less valuable as they are mired in their own points of view.
