Being stuck inside, besides giving me time to go crazy, has also allowed me to take stock of my blog posts.
Looking back over the last few, one thing that’s immediately obvious is that they’re all quite lengthy.
This was always going to happen. I love getting knee deep into a topic.
Giving myself some constructive feedback — I struggle to focus on one point. My commentary naturally starts to spread, in tandem with my own curiosity, touching on adjacent topics. And although this is intellectually stimulating, it can get messy.
Also, these lengthy posts mean that I publish less frequently. Probably resulting in my corner of the internet, right here, feeling a little less personal — which is not what I want.
So how do I solve this?
For now, I’m going to try publishing shorter posts — probably around 500 to 1000 words. Which you’re able to digest in less than five minutes.
Okay — hopefully that was focused enough. Over and out.
